Jenna Sears is a PhD student in Ethnomusicology at Indiana University. Their work focuses on integrating community-arts practices and health discourse within refugee resettlement spaces. During their PhD, they have founded the Creative Cafe, an educational arts workshop series, to talk about migration policies in the United States and strategize towards advocacy efforts locally. Jenna is an active vocalist and educator, currently directing the Indiana University Children's Choir. They hold a master's degree in Ethnomusicology from the University of Limerick, and a BM and BME in Voice and Choral Education from the Jacobs School of Music. They teach weekly music lessons with students in Southern Indiana, and Loma de Cabrera in the Dominican Republic through the Jacobs Virtual Academy.
