Working at the intersection of political, urban, cultural, and historical geographies, Dr. Ashutosh is interested in how the movement of people, ideas, and commodities re-envision and reinforce geopolitical divides.

Irit Dekel’s research examines the relations between collective memory, media and the public sphere. Her recent work focuses on contemporary discourse on Holocaust memorialization and antisemitism in Germany as sites in which to study the social positions of ethnic and religious minorities, their civic actions, and representations.

Jayanth Krishnan is the Milt and Judi Stewart Professor of Law at the Indiana University Maurer School of Law and the director of the Milt and Judi Stewart Center on the Global Legal Profession. He teaches courses on property, the legal profession/legal ethics, comparative law, and immigration. In 2023, he received the Indiana University Trustees' Teaching Award, an honor he also received in 2012. And in 2015, he received the Law School's highest teaching honor, the Leon Wallace Teaching Award. He was named director of Indiana Law's Stewart Center on the Global Legal Profession in 2014.

Patricia K. Kubow is Professor and Program Chair in International and Comparative Education in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at Indiana University. As founding director of the Center for International Education, Development and Research, she received numerous federal grant awards that brought prestigious Fulbright teacher and international educator programs to the IU School of Education. Her comparative research focuses on global-local constructions of democracy, citizen identity, and formal and indigenous education in Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East.

Angela Yoonjeong McClean is the Korea Foundation Assistant Professor of Korean Politics and Society. She studies contemporary Korea through an interdisciplinary lens spanning Sociology, Political Science, and Law. Specifically, she investigates how domestic institutions and actors – including lawmakers, the bureaucracy, the judiciary, and civil society – interpret and adapt international human rights laws and norms to facilitate or resist social and institutional changes.

David A. McDonald is Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Folklore and Ethnomusicology. Since 2002, he has worked closely with Palestinian refugee communities in Israel, Jordan, the West Bank, and North America. While trained in ethnomusicology, he has published widely on Palestinian popular culture, focusing specifically on the dynamics of trauma, violence, exile, and media.
